A tour of elbatidor.com

Current Issue
We've brought El Batidor to the web! We've added color images and increased their quality, and we've made it easier than ever to navigate through the articles. Our goal is to bring El Batidor across the globe while avoiding snail mail. Oh, and to keep you in the know, the previously released issue will always be the homepage.

Students
Let's say that you want to know when the next bus to Carpinteria is on an S-Week Saturday, but at the end of another six-day week you are too mentally exhausted to find which column of the schedule to look at. Well, just take a peak at the student section and it will do the thinking for you. That's right, elbatidor.com has a full-scale, up-to-the-minute, interactive bus schedule. This section can also tell you if it is an N or an S week, who is doing the next Tuesday Talk, what folk band is performing at Convocation, show you the latest Cate Calendar, and even what is on the menu for lunch and dinner.

History
Our website, elbatidor.com, was born on May 31, 2007, 18 years after its lovely creator. The majority of the site was constructed in a Panera Bread in the quaint town of West Dundee, IL. With the input of many and the technological knowledge of one, the site has been in the works for a long while. Upon his graduation, David handed the baton to another tech savvy designer to continue promoting the newspaper for all to see. That tech designer was Vivan, who only months before his graduation re-vitalized an interest in the website, (sought to) add(ed) two nifty features: an functional archive with previous issues and an interactive playlist for students to plug in to the popular tunes that play around campus.
